Ordeograph - Images of a Urban Field
After a few years of creating synth based late night lounge music, Andrew Myers (also known as Megaheadphoneboy) acquired a small stereo microphone to match the portable music device which accompanies him on his travels around London. Recordings were made of thunderstorms and birdsong, the tube into town and the bus journey back home, the explorations by bike through the streets, parks and river walkways and the snippets of conversation as people pass by. Back at the Beech studio in South West London these recordings were taken apart, washed in effects and woven back together to form the ambient soundscapes presented here as Ordeograph's debut release.
